The program of Povratak prirodi is accredited by Serbian Ministry of Education. Thanks to the joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Technological Development, UNICEF, Institute for the Advancement of Education and Institute for Pedagogy and Andragogy, Povratak prirodi has been recognized as a kindergarten with good practice.
The workshops create an atmosphere in which a child spontaneously acquires knowledge through the guided activities perceived as a game.
Each topic is carefully approached, with simultaneous usage of different types of intelligence. The selection of contents is thoughtfully done, in order to meet the children’s interests.
Program is based on integrative planning i.e. on approaching the subject from different angles. It enables child’s observation of the reality as it is, not in pieces and partially.
Learning by doing principle is realized through thematic projects within our numerous unique workshops.
Our Unique Workshops
I n the maturation process a child encounters with interesting phenomena that stimulate their imagination and raise many questions. This workshop provides the children to discover cause-effect relations between the things and occurrences that surround them.
On the workshop the children will be experimenting with: water, air, heat, light, sound, electricity, motion, body inertia, forces of action and reaction, gravity, liquids, electric energy, magnet force, etc..
The workshops are adapted to children of all ages and are completely subordinate to their desires and interests.
T he origin and development of the speech depend on genetic and social factors. A child adopts basic language elements by miming, practicing, stimulating, which depends on its physical and psychological abilities and needs. Speech adoption is a natural speech-language development process and it is spontaneous, influenced by speech-language environment.
Speech development is crucial for creating a notion about oneself, for adopting the behavior rules and for creating the moral judgments. A child masters different use of speech through active language practice in everyday life situations. It spontaneously overpowers the complex language elements (voices, meaning, syntax) and learns how to use the language in adequate ways.
The communicative (social) speech functions are developed in direct contact with the others. In order to develop communication flexibility (explicit speech – speech adjusted to speaker and context) it is essential to practice all the speech functions, especially those that develop in contact with others.
Chatter box is a speech and drama workshop that stimulates the right articulation and distinction of speech of children up to 3 years. We encourage the proper voice articulation and distinction, as well as vocabulary enrichment and grammatically correct pronunciation. More complex speech and drama workshops are created for children between 3-7 years, starting with immediate child experience and current interests.
Besides the above mentioned, the targets of the Chatter Box are:
- boosting creativity, conscious and unconscious creativity
- getting experience in well-tailored, meaningful and proper communication
- developing and nurturing listening skills
- encouraging drama activities amongst children
P sychological workshops that encourage development by facing changes during critical situations, accepting pleasant and unpleasant emotions, acquiring the effective verbal/non-verbal communication skills, learning about conflict solving models, understanding upbringing methods and their effects.
Around The World With Kids!
A round the world with kids is a multicultural program where children enjoy meeting different cultures and countries worldwide. Our goal is to explore various national customs, geographic features, flora and fauna. Basically, we travel to far away countries in order to spend some time living like the locals. For such occasions, we make national instruments, masks, toys, prepare traditional food, listen to traditional music of our hosts… Every second week we change our traveling location. During the program, from October to July, we visit around 18 different countries all around the world.
O ur English language program is adapted for children between 3-5 and 5-7 years.
It is based on belief that children at early age can learn a foreign language in similar ways they learn their mother tongue.
Learning needs to take place in the relevant context for children.
We provide this context according to children’s age and organize two types of workshops:
- - The Adventures of Elephant Ellie (for the beginners age 3 to 5 years)
- - The Adventures of Woody and Frosty in Fairyland (for children aged 5-7 who have already studied English for one or two years)
These workshops are created in order to present the basics of Chinese culture and language to children, as well as to learn the basic Chinese characters. Program is made for children up to 5 years old.
