Who is the teacher?

  • A friend?
  • An authority?

A teacher is all of it, and even more. A teacher is a role model. Learning according to the model implies not only gaining formal knowledge, but also adopting various forms of social behavior, skills, attitudes, values. Therefore, it is important that the teacher educates with the whole personality – with his/her formal and informal knowledge, skills, hobbies, sensibility, beliefs, moral principles.

Only when the teacher approaches a child with the complete personality, enthusiasm and capacities, the child truly believes him/her.

The upbringing and learning process does not fully work without confidence. Confidence is not a self-sustaining concept, but a value which has to be nurtured. Firstly, it is important that the teacher believes in what he/she is teaching, to live the story he/she tells to the children. Therefore, it is essential that a child discovers music with the music teacher, plants together with a biology teacher, learns to speak properly with the support of a speech therapist etc.

When the teacher educates with all his/her heart, and with the true confidence in a child’s capacities, the child responds – with trust. This creates an inseparable learning synergy and common growth.
